Our Faith in Action group joined others from our MAT schools at Sacred Heart school during Advent. They spent the morning reflecting on different stages in the Christmas story at beautifully prepared reflection stations.
Our Faith in Action group took some time out during lunchtime to go to the grotto and pray a decade of the rosary. (October 2022)

Our Faith in Action Group 2023/24
SEPTEMBER 2021- Jessica from Leeds Diocese came in to speak to Year 5 about the Faith In Action Award
The children have all expressed an interest in this following a visit from Jessica Wilkinson from the diocese.
The award rewards young people's active service in helping to build the Kingdom of God on Earth. Many young people are doing so much to follow Jesus' example in serving others in their schools and parishes. The Faith in Action Award encourages young people to take that service into their wider community and accept greater responsibility for their faith in action. It encourages young people to shine the light of faith upon their experience of service through guided and personal reflection.
The award coincides with the children’s preparation for Confirmation and will be a stepping stone for their continuing involvement in the Christian life. After the first level, the children can choose to carry on with the award through high school.
The children will begin with the Pin level award and will be encouraged to undertake activities in the following areas: Prayer, Pilgrimage and Procession, Parish Practice, Social Action.
Year 4 busy creating their prayer boats to send to COP 26 to
help the Young Christian Climate Network advocate for climate change.
